  1. Cream 1/2 cup butter and peanut butter; gradually add 1 1/2 cups brown sugar, 1/2 cup at a time, beating well at medium speed of electric mixer.
  2. Add the eggs and vanilla; beat well.
  3. Combine flour, baking powder, salt and stir well.
  4. Add to creamed mixture, mixing well.
  5. Stir in the chopped peanuts.
  6. Spread batter in a greased 9x13-inch pan.
  7. Bake at 350° for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove from the oven; let cool slightly in pan on a wire rack.
  9. Combine 1/2 cup brown sugar, 3 tablespoon butter, honey and milk in a small saucepan.
  10. Bring to a boil; reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes, stirring constantly.
  11. Remove from the heat; stir in 1/4 cup finely chopped peanuts.
  12. Spread the topping over warm brownies. Let cool completely in pan on a wire rack; cut into squares.
