This turned out great. I added these ingredients to make a great queso sauce (and I used un-chicken broth instead of vegetable broth):
2 tbsp yellow mustard
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp cayenne
salt pepper to taste
This definitley turned out more like a gravy then a cheese sauce for us, which may be due to the fact I used a dark rich veggie stock. Regardless it was great over potatoes one night and veggies & rice the next! Very versatile & easy! Thanks Sharon!! Veg*n Swap 25!!
Nice and easy and yummy! I used the same seasonings as White Rose Child. It was the perfect thing on some leftover roasted potatoes.
Great results especially considering how quick and easy this recipe is. Perfect if you're short on time and/or energy. I found 1/4 cup of nootch was just right for me. For spices I also used a bit of onion powder and garlic powder, plus some thyme and savory....and a few dashes of Braggs. Very yummy - served with sauteed mushrooms over a baked potato which was just the kind of comfort food in order tonight!!
Delicious, quick and yummy!! I made 1 1/2 batch of this, and it was perfect for 3/4 lb of elbow noodles. Great for a quick dinner last night. I like the selection of spices you gave as suggestions!! Will add some turmeric next time too.
Delish!! I had this over brown rice (with stirfried asparagus) for a light, nutritious meal. I was generous with the nutritional yeast and used garlic powder, onion granules, basil, a bit of turmeric and 1 tsp. tamari. Thanks Sharon!
