Marinating in butter seems weird and not cooking the onions and garlic in the butter beforehand seems odd too. The salmon was good (of course), but I'm not sure the marinating added much to it.

I used this on fresh, fresh salmon from Seattle and my non-fish liking friends loved it.

The salmon turned out very tasty, but I felt the onion and garlic was wasted, as did another reviewerd.

My local Wegman's (PA, outside of Philadelphia) is flying in fresh Copper River Salmon, so I couldn't resist trying this recipe, even though it does seem a bit backwards ... but "the proof is in the pudding" and this came out tasting wonderful with the veg not sticking -- I used a grill pan, rather than an outdoor grill. With raw materials this good, the key is simplicity and speed in cooking and this recipe comes through. Thanks for sharing!!
