this is a brilliant idea -
- Remove 1/3 cup of bourbon from the bottle.
- In its place, put a cup of crushed and twisted fresh mint leaves.
- Let this steep for 3-5 months.
- To serve, put a bit of sugar - to taste - in a cup with lots of shaved ice and pour the bourbon over it.
- Can garnish with a sprig of fresh mint.
- Most authentic when served in a silver cup with a glass straw.
