"This was posted in reply to a message board request for a "blackberry vinegar" recipe. You can substitute your choice of berries for the raspberrys."

  • Mash the berries, add the vinegar and let stand for 4 days, (I let it sit in a shady spot on my counter).
  • To each cup of liquid, add 1 cup sugar.
  • Bring to boiling and cook for 20 minutes.
  • Strain and bottle.

  1. I followed Dee's instructions exactly, except that I wanted to use fresh blackberries. The vinegar turned out just great -- gorgeous color and delicious flavor. I added the sugar gradually, heating until dissolved, and then just continued adding until it was suitable for my taste buds. A great and easy recipe. Thanks Dee :)
