  • Mash berries; add vinegar and let stand for 4 days, stirring daily.
  • Strain; to each cup of liquid add one cup of sugar.
  • Bring to a boil and cook for 20 minutes.
  • Strain and if desired, add 2 ounces brandy per quart of finished vinegar and bottle.
  • Store in refrigerator.
