I thought this sounded gross when I first heard about it, but it actually tastes pretty good!
Make and share this Raspberry (Or Strawberry or Blackberry) Tomato Jam recipe from Food.com.
- In a large pot, mix tomatoes and sugar.
- Bring to a boil and boil 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat.
- Add gelatin and stir well.
- Seal in jars or in freezer.
So easy... I made grape flavour as that's the only jelly crystals I had, it made 3 nice size jars and the kids don't even realise it contains tomatoes...bonus!
I used fresh red tomatoes, and this turned out really good.
I used ripe tomatoes, and put them in my food processor. This was VERY good! If I didn't know there were tomatoes in it, I would never guess. And so easyj too.
