Another fine, fine recipe, Katie! This was fabulous. I cut the sugar back by half because my berries were already lightly sweetened, plus I like things on the tart side. My tastebuds did a dance! I think the lesser amount of sugar did affect the way it set up; it didn't scrape as easily, but what a small price to pay for dancing tastebuds! I will make this often. Made for ZWT 7 -Shady Ladies

Directions

  1. Combine sugar and water and bring to the boil.
  2. Simmer 5 minutes to make a syrup.
  3. Allow to cool.
  4. Combine berry puree with lemon juice and syrup.
  5. Place in a metal bowl or tray.
  6. Freeze till set.
