Even though I overbeat the eggwhites the meringue came out really well. This raspberry pavlova is a wonderful way to finish off a meal! Thanks...I'll be keeping this as my meringue recipe from now on!
I made this one for my moms birthday party. I enjoyed this one as the berries and whipped cream were folded together as the filling, then I garnished with small rosettes of plain whipped cream around the edge too, topped each dollop with toasted almonds and hazelnuts. Nice dessert.
I might have known this was a Mary Berry recipe - she is the queen of desserts and also recipes for the aga. I made mine in a French Godin woodburning stove.....I left it in overnight to dry out and it was perfect....I have a similar recipe that also uses vinegar and cornflour - I think mine is the other queen of British cooking, Delia Smith! Perfect recipe and was devoured very quickly by our B and B guests last night! Thanks Pixie! FT:-) P.S. I used raspberries and strawberries as a mixture, as I had both fruits in the house!
