Rangoon Ruby Cocktail
"This updated version of a Rangoon Ruby was created by Andrea Nguyen, and posted on her blog - AsianDumplingTips.com. The classic version of this drink may be found in the book "Trader Vic's Pacific Island Cookbook." (1968) A refreshing twist on a standard. Perfectly pairs with a crab rangoon! Posted for ZWT."

ingredients
- 1⁄2 lime
- 2 ounces vodka
- cranberry juice, soda (sparkling)
- 1 mint sprig
- ice
directions
- Put the ice in a 10 ounce glass.
- Squeeze the lime directly into the glass and drop the shell in there too.
- Add the vodka and top with the cranberry juice soda; stir.
- Garnish with mint and serve.

A fizzy cape cod! I've never heard of cranberry soda, so used cranberry juice and a bit of ginger ale, since I had some on hand. Probably changed the taste of the drink, but found it delicious this way. Where do you find cranberry soda??? Made for Football Tag. -
Maybe not the most suitable drink for Groundhog's Day supper when it's supposed go be below freezing tonight, but so tasty and it makes you dream of summer. I loved the tartness of the fresh lime and cranberry, I didn't have cranberry juice soda, so I mixed cranberry juice and lime seltzer. Made for Best of 2010 Tag

My parents owned a grocery store when I was growing up, so there's my love of FOOD! My friends all love to drink, so there's my profession! I stopped bartending 5 years ago, when my son was born, but still 'do' private parties. DH and I did a 'Supper Club' for a while, but life kept getting in the way!
I am a SAHM, to a rambunctious 5 y.o....I LOVE cooking and collect cookbooks and anything kitchen related! I'm kinda picky, but will just drop an ingredient or make a sub, so I can still try a recipe.
I'm looking forward to many years of enjoyment here, and hope to participate in some events soon!
