This is a delicious and spicy gravy for serving over wet burritos.

I thought it had too much tomato flavor. So, I added salt, pepper, and another cup of beef broth. It was very easy to make.

  1. Heat the olive oil in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the green pepper, onion, garlic and jalapenos; sauté for 3 minutes, stirring constantly so that the garlic does not brown and become bitter.
  3. Add the tomato paste, broth, salt and pepper. Whisk to incorporate into a smooth sauce.
  4. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Pour over your favorite burritos to make 'wet burritos'.
