      We've been making this recipe for decades, and it's a family favorite. However, we've always added extra water. It will help with the dryness of the meat. This is a great recipe for an electric skillet.

      I thought this was OK. I didn't really care for the flavor,it seemed to be missing something, and the steaks were overcooked, with a dry texture after 1 hour of simmering. I did not deviate form the recipe, I made it as is with no substitutions. Sorry, I will not be making again.

      Family Favorite! I've been making this for years - my mom made it in the '60s (hers was called Ranch House Round Steak). I copied the recipe from her file when I settled down. It's best when you tenderize the meat with meat mallet before flouring and frying.

      Was looking for an easy round steak recipe with flavour to make this morning and thought this looked interesting..well it was more than that. It was Excellent...added a tub of sliced baby bella's and a little more pepper and some garlic but that is only because my husband likes garlicy spicey......was wonderful as it was as it was.
