Ramen Slaw Salad

"I got this from Belinda Eldrinhoff in 2002. Hers is different than the others I noticed on this site. The butter makes it outrageous! I cut her oil in the dressing by 1/4 cup."

  • 8 ounces Dole classic coleslaw (I usually make from scratch instead)
  • 3 ounces ramen noodles (Japanese chuka soba)
  • 4 ounces butter
  • 12 cup sugar
  • 12 cup vinegar (apple cider)
  • 12 cup oil
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 12 cup nuts (cashews or slivered almonds)

directions

  • Preheat oven to 350.
  • Crumble noodles and add butter and seasoning from ramen noodle packs and bake 10 minutes.
  • Mix sugar, vinegar, oil and soy as dressing.
  • Cool noodles.
  • Just before serving mix slaw, noodles and nuts.
  • Dress and serve.
