What a great combination - rose and pistachio flavours!! I made a few changes, I did not have a fresh lemon so added 1/2 teaspoon of lemon extract. My rose water smelled great, but did not add much flavour to the batter, I will add more next time. I halved the recipe for the frosting and had difficulty getting it to come together, so I added some icing sugar. I could not find an edible rose, so used other garden flowers for decorations. Both DH and I really enjoyed the flavours of the nuts and rose water. Next time I bake these cupcakes I will try adding vanilla (instead of lemon zest) to the batter and a little more rose water to the frosting!
