A little twist to a regular side dish
- 2 carrots, grated
- 1⁄2 head cabbage, shredded
- 1⁄2 cup raisins
- 1⁄2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- black sesame seed
- Combine vegetables and raisins in a bowl.
- In another bowl combine mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar.
- Combine vegetables with dressing. Season to taste and sprinkle with black sesame seeds.
If you are looking for a delicious change-of-pace way to make coleslaw, then THIS IS IT!!! The raisins make this a step above most coleslaws. I didn't have black sesame seeds so I just omitted them, however, it didn't hurt the recipe at all. This is a wonderful side dish, tunasushi, and I can't wait to make it again.
