This raisin bread is for anyone loving raisins by soaking the raisins which makes the raisins bigger. Cooking tine includes 1 hour soaking raisins.

  1. Mix the raisins, baking soda, and the boiling water.
  2. Cover, and let stand until cooled, about 1 hour.
  3. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  4. Lightly grease two 4x8 inch loaf pans.
  5. In a medium bowl, mix the raisin mixture with the oil, flour, sugars, and salt, and mix well.
  6. Pour mixture evenly into the 2 prepared pans, and bake until browned, approximately 1 hour.
