These are great for cookie exchanges or bake sales! I coat the rolls in the coloured sugars or sprinkles before the dough rolls are chilled so that the sugar or sprinkles stick to them better, but that's the only change I make. I only get about 100 cookies from a batch because I like my cookies thicker and softer.
I love this recipe! The flavor is great and they're so pretty. The only problem I had was that my rolls got longer and narrower when I rolled them in the sugar, so I ended up with a lot more cookies in a smaller size. I kind of like them little like this for my Christmas trays, but when I make them next time, I'm going to refrigerate them longer before rolling, so I can make them the right size to see how they come out. Thanks for this new Christmas tray addition! :)

These are the coolest ccokies that I've made in a long time! I made them to include in my Xmas cookies this year . I used red sugar, green sugar and then a mix of red/green sugar. These cookies look fancy and festive, yet they are SOOOO easy! I'll be making these for many holidays/occasions and use colored sugar to coordinate. Thanx so much for posting this recipe!
Very nice cookie recipe. I made these this year for something new, and my family loves them. They look so pretty too. Will look lovely on my cookie tray. Once you get them all rolled up it is just slice and bake, very easy. Mine where a bit small, but they did plump up in the oven, so they turned out just perfect. Thank you for sharing.

These cookies are AWESOME!! My hubby calls them EVIL because they taste so good and are definitely NOT healthy. We have been making them every year for the past 4 years.
