I adore porridge type foods, this one I haven't yet made, comes from Norway.

Fun, different and delightful recipe. This has the consistency of very dense mashed potatoes! A little goes a long way! Made as directed and will definitely serve with strawberries or other berries next time. Thanks, fellow Unruly! Made for ZWT6.

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Heat the milk and cream.
  2. In another pan melt the butter add the flour and make a roux.
  3. Using a balloon whisk slowly add the milk/cream beating well after each addition of milk so you have a lump free porridge.
  4. On a low heat cook the porridge for 10 minutes.
  5. Plate up and serve with cinnamon and sugar sprinkled ontop or dried fruits and nuts or strawberries.
