      I had a fabulous result here using poached nectarines instead of quinces - not a quince to be seen here currently !! I followed the recipe exactly except changing the fruit. Cake part cooked perfectly too in the time given. It was a huge success.

      boy quices are hard to cut. luckily i poached it so made it easier after i cored it . i used the cherries cause i didnt know how mr picky would react. he liked this very much i used a 9x9 cake pan very pretty cake
