This is the recipe my mom always uses when she makes oatmeal cookies at christmas!

These cookies were great ... just a little crunchy on the outside and nice and chewy on the inside. I did add walnuts because we love our cookies a bit on the nutty side! I got 4 dozen very nice sized cookies. Oh, and I changed the serving size from 1 dozen to 2 cookies per serving (though I can see how you could easily eat a dozen of these!!!). Thanks Babybuttons!

  1. cream butter, brown sugar, white sugar and vanilla.
  2. add eggs, salt, baking soda, and raisins.
  3. add flour and oats.
  4. cook by the tea spoon dropful on an ungreased cookie sheet at 350º for about 10-12 minutes (when edges are brown).
