Good Friday and agghhh..... and NO tartare sauce!
In a mad panic I had to find a great recipe, and this was it! I am so pleased I found this it was wonderful and the family loved it, even DD who does not usually eat tartare sauce used it and loved it. I did not use the pepper sauce and not a much relish as listed, but this was still wonderful.
I will be using this from now on, seeing it is so quick and easy to make.
Never again will I worry about not having tartare sauce on hand............... and I won't be wasting money throwing out half jars of left over tartare sauce either. An added bonus! ;-)

Really great and easy. I used all mayonnaise rather than the half mayonnaise, half sour cream option. I went super light on the sweet pickle relish for personal preference reasons but the tartar sauce still tastes great.people found this review Helpful. I just went to the fridge and realized we have no tartar sauce for the fish- so I looked this up on RecipeZaar. Boy am I glad I did so. It took seconds to make and I didn't use all the ingredients listed for the time sake and what I had on hand. I made it without the hot pepper sauce and minced onion and it was fabulous. What a keeper. Thanks.people found this review Helpful. You can only vote others' reviews helpful or not helpful... Was this review helpful to you? Yes | No We don't know who you are. This is the tartar sauce I grew up with & remember fondly ... except for the slight tang of the Tobasco I used for the hot sauce & was a welcome addition. Fish abounds here, we eat it often & DH is a bit of a purist about it, so this was for ME. Pls see my rating system - a very worthy 4*. Thx for sharing this recipe w/us. :-)people found this review Helpful. You can only vote others' reviews helpful or not helpful... Was this review helpful to you? Yes | No We don't know who you are.
