Awesome! Simple and quick. I just made this for the second time. I doubled the recipe, used a pound of turkey kielbalsa instead of ham, and a can each of black and kidney beans. I used half a teaspoon of seasoning salt, and a quarter teaspoon of garlic salt. I served the whole thing over three cups of cooked rice. I completely love this recipe. Flavorful, filling, and super cheap to make.

This was a really good weeknight meal. I used a lot more ham (we needed to use it up) and doubled the recipe, using some pink beans as well. Served this over a mix of white & brown rice with cornbread and it was very good. The next day the flavors had melded well so I would recommend making it ahead and reheating it over fresh rice.
