    Directions:

      Butter one side of each tortilla and place one in a skillet, butter side down.
    2. 2
      Then layer it with refried beans, the meat and shredded cheese.
    3. 3
      Then top it with the second tortilla (BUTTER SIDE UP) and cook until the tortillas are lightly browned.

      Use a pizza cutter to cut the quesadilla into 4 to 6 wedges.

      Delicious!

      I had never thought about buttering the tortilla when making a quesadilla and loved the result: tortilla was still soft but had a golden "crustiness" to it. I used 96% fat-free flour tortillas, Smart Balance in place of the butter, fat-free refried beans and stirred in a 4-ounce can of chopped green chilis, then topped with cooked shredded chicken and Kraft Free Shredded Cheddar. YUM!
