A real quick Paella featuring Italian sausage, shrimp, and peas in a tomato based rice. Absolutely delish and only one pan to wash! Found on the internet.

I make this using 1# of chorizo, a 10oz can of Rotel and I leave out the shrimp and peas. It's quick 'n easy and my family really likes this recipe.

  1. Heat 10" nonstick skillet over medium high heat until hot.
  2. Add crumbled sausage and cook until browned.
  3. Remove to bowl with slotted spoon.
  4. Reduce heat to medium.
  5. Add rice to drippings in skillet& cook 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Add broth and water; heat to boiling.
  7. Reduce heat to low; cover skillet and simmer for 15 minutes or until liquid is almost absorbed.
  8. Crush tomatoes and add to skillet with sausage.
  9. Cook until most of liquid is gone.
  10. Add shrimp and bring back to boil, then reduce heat to medium.
  11. Cover and cook for 4 minutes.
  12. Stir in peas; cover and cook until shrimp turn opaque and peas are heated through.
