I surely don't remember where I first found this recipe, but I've been making it for years. I never think about it until the first true cold snap - and then it's the first thing I want to cook. Incredibly easy, pretty cheap and tasty.

  1. Melt butter in a 3 quart saucepan over medium heat. Saute cabbage and smoked sausage for 5 to 10 minutes, depending on how "done" you want your cabbage.
  2. Add soup, milk and caraway seeds to saucepan and simmer until heated through.
  3. Serve with freshly ground pepper.
