My mother went on a tour to Outback Australia and the stationowner was short of food to cater for a busload of tourists. This is what was served & all agreed it was fabulous!
- Place lamb chops on tray.
- Put 1/2 tablespoon of chosen topping on each chop and spread to cover.
- Put in oven at 180 degrees celcius for 15 mins.
- Also works well with beef steak, chicken breasts and turkey chops.
Extremely easy yet flavoursome recipe. Enhances and compliments the flavour of the lamb. I used a fruit chutney bought at the supermarket in a jar. I used forequarter chops that were quite thin. Served with wedges it was a nice easy meal to make.
These chops were very good, quick and easy to make. My chops were 1" thick and took 20 minutes to cook. They were just pink inside, perfect, not rare. I used my own chutney which is apple based and it complemented the lamb flavor. May I suggest that you add how thick the chops are in your recipe for the 15 minute bake time. Thanks Fiona for a good lamb chop recipe,
