Super, super good! Huge hit with the kids too! Decided to top off with crushed tortilla chips, diced fresh tomato and more cheese in the last 15 minutes of baking. Really added that "taco" flavor!
I used some leftover seasoned ground beef that we used for tacos; also had some leftover corn from another night. Cut the recipe in 1/2 and mixed up for lunch tomorrow. I mixed it all and will bake tomorrow. I did have to sample a few bites and it is great! I like the tomato soup rather that tomato sauce, it tastes less acidic. Made for I Recommend Tag.
Great recipe. Very kid pleaser. My son loved it. I used mozzarella cheese. I didn't put it in the oven. We were too hungry. Thanks zbigbass :) Made for Cookbook tag game
Family really enjoyed this! I doubled the meat and pasta for this, used rotini instead of macaroni, and omitted the corn. Really tasty and cheap to make, so it'll definitely be added to our big book of recipes! Thanks!
This was, again, a recipe that I needed to halve. I used frozen corn, homemade taco seasoning (so I was able to control how much, as we do tend to like a little more than called for), and instead of tomato soup, I used diced tomatoes and a little tomato paste. I did use the green pepper option. Thnx for sharing your recipe, sbigbass. Made for PAC Spring 2010.
Made for PAC 2010. I used more taco seasoning and less mac as previous chef suggested. I did not use corn as I had none. It was a nice and filling dish.
Classic chilimac with a twist of taco; good to eat and filling, would be better with more taco and less mac. Leftovers will make an easily reheatable lunch for a couple of days. Made for Pick A Chef.
