This was an easy, simple recipe and I was a little skeptical about it seeing as it didn't even have salt! The dough was nice and hard and it baked well. I got a little bored with plain sugar cookies so I started rolling them in cinnamon sugar as suggested. I also rolled a few in cocoa powder and some in a coconut sugar mixture. The coconut ones were my favorite!! I also had to leave halfway through the dough batch so I stuck it in the fridge for when I got back. I noticed that the cookies I made with the cold dough came out softer because they didn't flatten out as much. I highly recommend chilling the cookies and making them tablespoon sized instead of teaspoon sized.
Best recipe I have ever made for sugar cookies. They come out perfect every time.
This recipe was very simple and short. I loved how I didn't have to go to the store and buy the ingredients. And when it came to backing time it didn't even take that long. Which is amazing because I had to use the oven for other stuff too that day. But over all, the quality of the cookies was wonderful. The taste was amazing.
I followed the recipe precisely and I kept it in the oven a little longer probably about 13 minutes, but the cookies didn't come out as I expected it to. the cookies taste like sugary flour that has over bearing amount of vanilla extract. and they're are soft in the middle and hard around the edges. this is definitely not what I wanted...
I loved Them, They were very soft and very tasty. Me and my family loved them!!!
I highly recommend this recipe!!!
Thank you for posting this recipe. I don't bake often, so when I do, I usually just use a mix. But with no mix and no baking powder, I was able to make this recipe as a quick surprise for my boyfriend. The cookies (and dough!) are delicious. The cookies are crispy on the edges and chewy in the middle. I made about 32 cookies and they were not very small. The dough was sort of sticky at first, and then after putting it in the fridge while the first batch was baking, it was no longer sticky, but more crumbly than I'm used to. So it was slightly harder to roll into balls, but was definitely manageable. I will keep this recipe and experiment with almond extract, lemon, etc.
I love this recipe
