Quick & Easy Italian Cheese Bread

"Posted for a quick, weeknight bread, or as a snack. This is delicious, but quick and easy. I came up with this trying to match a bread we get from a local pizzeria/sandwich shop. Close, but not quite!"

Tweaks

  1. So good! We had it with some Recipe #88242 and on Sourdough italian loaf... we totally pigged out on it! Used garlic powder and parsley instead of garlic salt.

  2. This is a great way to have garlic bread in just a few minutes. I used garlic powder instead of garlic salt and it was just perfect. Thanks Breezermom :) Made for Zaar Star Games

  3. I made a half recipe and there was more than enough for 3 of us. I made up my own blend of cheese (parmessan and mozzarella) and I added dried garlic instead of garlic salt as I used salted butter (try to minimise salt though not exclude it completely) and after assembly went AHH forgot the oregano - oh well sprinkled on top and put to one side to cook later (in this case in the microwave oven to stop the flies getting at.) Thank you breezermom, made for Everyday A Holiday.

  4. Yep, good stuff! I used a blend of Parmesan, provolone, asiago, and mozzarella. I also used garlic powder instead of the garlic salt. Thanks for sharing!

  5. Made this for lunch today using one those smaller baquettes. I halved the ingredients and used garlic powder instead of garlic salt. Worked out great! Very tasty! Next time I may serve it with sauce for dipping. Thank you breezermom! Made for Everyday Holiday Tag dec'09.
