i dont eat any sort of cream pies but they are my dhs favorite. so i made this to take to dsi for dinner and it was a huge hit im sure it will be requested many times thanks for making it so easy.
I was scared when I tasted the pudding mixture when it was hot and it was so sweet and bland. I worried needlessly! It is super delish!!!! Rave reviews from me and all my coworkers! Just as a side note, I made it with whole milk, butter and put it in a graham cracker crust. Why skimp for a birthday!
This is amazing and so simple to make. Everyone was wanting more!!!
Wow, this was so delicious! I made one pie for my family and one for a neighbor. They all couldn't stop ranting and raving about it! Thank you for posting!
Wonderful pie, just like a restaurant pie that I love. I made this with my 5 year DD and 2 year old DS and they are being encouraged in their cooking endevors after tasting this pie. We used a premade Nilla wafter crust and it had just the right flavor combination to go along with the coconut cream. Will not be searching for anymore coconut pie recipes and SURELY can't wait to share it with extended family since it is SO easy to make!
WOWIE. This was so good and so easy! I actually enjoyed it better a day after I made it. I used Cool Whip but think that next time I'd rather make my own. This is DEFINITELY a 'keeper' recipe! Thank you SO much.
My 7 yr old daughter wanted coconut cream pie since it is iCarly's favorite. Those with little ones understand I am sure. It was super easy to make but super hard to wait the 4 hours to wait to eat it. We only lasted 2.It still was set but probably wouldve been firmer after 4 hrs. I topped it with real whipped cream instead of cool whip and added toasted coconut. Definitly will make again and again and again. YUM! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you, Mizz Nezz! My kids are making dinner for their dad and me tonight and our daughter made your coconut cream pie-the other kids were scooping the pan to get as much of the "leftovers" after she poured it into the pie crust...the directions and recipe were easy enough for a novice chef, and tasty enough that it seems a lot of time and effort went into the pie! Thanks so much for a great recipe!
Made as per recipe, but added about a tspn of coconut extract to the filling. I also melted white chocolate chips with a little bit of milk and poured it on the graham cracker crust before putting in the coconut filling. As long as you don't get the mixture too watery with milk, it keeps the crust from getting soggy from the filling. Then I whipped heavy cream instead of using cool whip, and topped it with toasted coconut. It was really good and it was the favorite sweet at Christmas dinner.
I used fresh whipped cream instead of cool whip, but otherwise followed the recipe. Delicious and so easy.
