I refrigerated the dough and it was not messy at all to roll the balls in the powdered sugar. I got 40 cookies out of my batch and they came out chewy and chocolately. They took 8-9 minutes in my oven. Very easy recipe for such a great cookie! Thanks for sharing! P.S. I used devil's food cake mix.

      SO good and simple!!!
I followed another reviewers tip to refrigerate before rolling into balls--much less sticky.
      Thanks!

Wow - very easy and fun to make. I needed one more cookie for my Christmas cookie assortment and since I meant to try these I figured why not! I used a 16 oz tub of cool whip lite and two boxes of cake mix - so made a lot of cookies. They have a wonderful brownie flavor and are not too sweet as I thought they might be. a great cookie to make any time.

Perfect! I used Dream Whip and a bit of milk like I had thought and then there were 30 something less the 4 obligatory test morsels. Great recipe!

Fabulous recipe! I chose this one because of how easy MommyMakes said it was. She was definitely right. My kids (3 & 6) made this themselves to put into the cookie assortments for their teachers. And they were terribly proud to be able to present their teachers with these yummy cookies.

This recipe is so simple that my 3 year old made most of it. The only assistance I gave was to help stir the cool whip and cake mix together (and the oven of course!) because the mixture is a nightmare to work with. Sticky does not even begin to descibe it! This recipe only made 24 medium cookies for us because I gave up on the dough after that many! But they were delcious! Rich and chewy and pretty, 2 dozen will be more than enough! We will make this often. Ours took about 11 min and I used chcolate fudge cake mix.

Mix cake mix and Cool Whip and get cookies--NO WAY! What a great recipe--yes the dough is sticky---working with a cookie scoop made baking these a breeze. Added bonus the raw cookie dough is amazing----I got exactly 40 cookies, but would have gotten 42 if I didn't nibble on the dough as I was making these. Thanks for a keeper. I am thinking lemon crinkles would be good too!
