Quick Chicken 1

Recipe by oc2961

One of my "working mother" recipes - quick and easy to make, and the kids love it. They still ask for it when they come home for vacations. The recipe is for one whole chicken, cut into eight. I usually double it, and for big dinners even triple it. Try it with different types of honey - each type gives it its own distinctive taste. Serve with plain white rice pilaff, and pour the chicken sauce over the rice. Usually used for the oven, it's also great as a marinade for barbecued chicken, chicken wings or chicken breasts.

Nice, simple chicken recipe. I cut chicken breasts into cubes instead of using whole chicken pieces and it turned out great. But the sauce wasn't enough to go over any type of sides so I made some extra sauce on the stove. Also, for the Tabasco sauce ketchup, couldn't find it, so I measured out some hot sauce separately and added it to the mix. Lovely combination of flavours. Thanks for sharing. Made for PAC Spring 2010.

Ingredients Nutrition

  1. Blend honey, soy sauce and ketchup until smooth. Consistency will be between a light paste or thick liquid, depending on your honey.
  2. Liberally season chicken parts with granulated garlic, on both sides.
  3. Spoon sauce over chicken parts, on both sides.
  4. Place chicken parts skin-side up in a baking dish.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes (don't worry if the chicken skin looks black).
