  1. Just like the title, this is quick and easy and good! I didn't have any lettuce handy but love lettuce on tuna sammies. Thanks jmdrag for sharing the simple treat. Made for Cookbook Tag.

  2. Simple and easy and for my money the best tuna fish sandwich. Don't need onion and God forbid, celery ( which nothing to any recipe in my book ). Being eating it for over 65 years and still enjoying it.

  3. Thanks for posting jmdrag. It was quick and quite tasty. Made as written but substituted cheddar for the American cheese as it is family preference. Added a bit of minced onion to it too. The mayo wasn't enough for DH so I added a dash more. If you grew up on pickle relish in your tuna you will like this. Chilled it and packed it for lunch in a flash. It wasn't the running kind but wasn't the least bit dry either. Spot on. Enjoy! ChefDLH

  4. I've been using this recipie for years but I used fine shredded cheese, a little minced onion and a pinch of sugar in addition to the sweet relish. Sometimes I add a hard boiled egg.

  5. Perfect tuna sandwich. I used 2 1/2 tablespoons of mayo and 1 tablespoon of dill relish. My son and I loved this. It was the perfect amount of everything. We didn't add lettuce or american cheese but loved it just the same. Will be making my tuna like this from now on.

Tweaks

  1. I have been making this tuna for years. These days I throw in a bunch of seasonings to the basic recipe for my family that enhance the flavor e.g. lemon pepper, ground mustard, garlic salt, onion powder, parsley flakes

I have always enjoyed cooking as it is one of my most creative outlets. However, I am mother to four wonderful children and have a full-time job. So, often my cooking is reduced to getting something on the table.
