This is a quick breakfast that my kids grab on the way out the door...and yes, they make a mess with it, but they love it, so I don't complain!
- 1⁄2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1⁄2 cup pecans, finely chopped
- bread, slices
- Combine the softened butter, brown sugar and pecans.
- Mix well.
- You can either put the spread on the bread and toast it under the broiler or you can toast your bread in the toaster and then put the praline mix on as a spread.
- EITHER way works fine!
I was looking for something quick and easy for breakfast this morning and this fit the bill! I used toasted raisin bread and then ran it under the broiler to melt it a little. This makes a great alternative to cinnamon toast!
