These rolls were very easy and tasty to make. I used instant potatoes to speed things up even more. I agree with the last review that they needed an additional rising agent to help puff them up a little bit. They are definitely worth trying again!

These tiny little soft and slightly sweet rolls were very tasty indeed. My family really enjoyed them. They have a nice texture and when fresh from the oven, they taste like little pockets of mashed potatoes. The only problem I had with them is that they really didn't rise much at all while baking - I think perhaps if an additional rising agent were added they would puff up better when baked. They pretty much stayed the same height as they started out - sort of like a cookie. I plan to make these again as they really were very easy and tasty, but I may experiment next time with a little baking soda and/or salt to help them puff up more.

These are fabulous. I made it even quicker by using instant mashed potatoes and they came out so light and delicious. I made only size from this recipe and perhaps that is why they rose so beautifully too. You just can't roll these too thin .

Wow!!! These are fantastic! And a great way to use up something I usually end up throwing out. Thank you!!!!! I love the hint of sweet in the rolls.

Delicious rolls! These were more like biscuits, but with wonderful texture and flavor and did not fall apart like my biscuit recipes. I will definitely be making these again. I used leftover mashed potatoes from dinner, doubled the recipe, and used 2 cups whole wheat and 1 cup unbleached white flour. Thanks for a great recipe!

Wonderful recipe! We enjoy these potato rolls with Chicken Fried Chicken With Milk Gravy at dinner. They were simple to make and a nice change using mashed potatoes. I didn't have enough all-purpose flour so I used self-rising flour and I used 4Tbs of milk to make into a dough ball to roll out. Made for the "Flour Power Challenge" Breads,Rolls, Scones and Biscuits April '08. Thanks for sharing the recipe!

These rolls hit the spot! To ensure that they puffed up nicely, I used a heaping tablespoon of baking powder, as well as adding 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda. Then, instead of kneading the rolls, I put the mixture (which was just lightly combined) directly into a greased muffin tin. The texture is perfect. Thanks for a fluffy, no-yeast roll (as well as a new use for mashed potatoes)!

Ok, but I wasn't that impressed with the taste--the prep was fairly simple. Thanks for giving us a new experience, anyways. :)

5 stars for speed and ease. Based on other reviews, I added a pinch of baking soda. The rolls still didn't rise a lot, but are very soft and tasty.

These are great! The only thing that I added was a couple of pinches of kosher salt. I've made these twice now, and both times they've risen a little. With all of the potato, I didn't expect them to rise a lot. Definately something that we'll make often.

These were lovely! They didn't rise much but they were soft and had a delicate potato flavour. Thanks!
