Nice pizza sauce. It was simple to make and worked well on English muffin pizzas. I added some Italian seasoning to perk it up a little bit. Thanks for sharing, Boomette. Made for Everyday is a Holiday Tag.
Very easy to make and has a great flavor. I used very ripe roma tomatoes that I put in the blender with everything else (uncooked) and then pour the finished sauce in a saucepan and simmered for 15 minutes to cook the tomatoes. Came out perfect; used for Philly Cheesy Pizza Dip. Made for Recipe Swap#57.
This was so easy, and made a great product. It has a nice, mild tomato flavor, and isn't thick or gooey like the commercially available pizza sauce. I agree that more seasoning would be a good thing, but actually, I prefer to add that to the pizza itself, so that I can adjust based on the type of pizza I'm making. The one change I made was to add 1 tablespoon of tomato paste, to make the flavor a bit richer. I'll be making this again- thanks for posting!
I used a quart of my own italian homemade tomatoes added the red wine and food processed it. It was wonderful. I will def make this again with fresh tomatoes and herbs this summer.
