This is the ONLY recipe I use for my Christmas gingerbread because it's perfect every single time. I make this all year long too, because I crave gingerbread sometimes.
- 18 ounces duncan hines spice cake mix
- 1 cup flour
- 2 eggs
- 1⁄3 cup oil
- 1⁄3 cup molasses
- 2 teaspoons ginger
- icing, if desired
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Combine ingredients. Dough will be soft. Cover with plastic wrap and chill until firm.
- Roll into 1/4 inch and cut with floured cutters. Place on a lightly sprayed sheet.
- Bake 8-10 minutes or until edges start to brown. Cool on a wire rack until room temperature Decorate as desired.
Very easy, thank you! My five year old decided that we needed to make gingerbread men today, and I was worried that it was going to be difficult. This dough handled very well. My son is thrilled. We'll definitely make again.
Very good. Dough was easy to work with, which is good because I made them with my three year-old. Definitely a keeper.
i love gingerbread and have using my bisquick based recipe for centuries, this seemed an appropriate time to try Amy's recipe. this is as easy as my bisquick one and tastes very good and is as easy to make. now i have 2 great easy gingerbread recipes.
