These were quick & easy to make! However, they were a little too sweet for our tastes - I'll probably eliminate the sugar next time. I scaled the recipe in half & I'm using the rest of the crescent rolls for Ham & Cheddar Crescents, Ham & Cheddar Crescents. Thanx Jellyqueen!
We loved this recipe. I even cooked plain apples in the sauce and they tasted great. It was very easy to make. Thanks for a nice recipe.
Almost exactly like a recipe my grandma makes execpt she uses 1 cup instead of 1/2 cup of sugar. So So good!
Most excellent! We ate dinner while it cooked. The children helped me prepare it before dinner (and wanted to!). Thank you!
I cut the sugar to 1/4 cup and the butter to 2 Tbsp & used reduced-fat crescent rolls, and these were really tasty! I also added a dash of nutmeg in with the cinnamon. Mine baked in 36 minutes; I pulled them out twice during baking to spoon some juice over. I rolled the crescents like normal 'crescent-style' over my Gala apples, and then folded the sides in so that the entire apple slice was covered in pastry. These would be great for a last-minute dessert or unexpected guests (I just had an apple-pie kind of craving, lol). Thanks :)
Oh my, are these ever yummy! They are very easy to put together & the result is like a little apple pie. The combination of cinnamon, orange, & butter is very nice. I cut the sugar in half, & think you could probably use even less, maybe 1/4 cup, & still have it be sweet enough. I served the dumplings warm with whipped cream. Thanks, Jellyqueen!
