- Simmer all ingredients in small saucepan on stove, over low heat, until heated through and smooth.
I wasn't sure what kind of cheese this meant, American, like the sliced cheese product? I used the "Mexican melting cheese" and it was really runny, then got weird bumps in it. Fair flavor, just wish the consistency was better.

We really enjoyed this. Nice change of pace from the velveeta and rotel stuff. My kids are addicted to the queso at our local Mexican joint, and this stuff tops that. Had to add a little extra cream, we like a little thinner consistency. Thanks for posting!
