Puttanesca Sauce for Garlic Lovers

This is a quick, bold, "in your face" puttanesca sauce.

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 6 large garlic, crushed and chopped
  • 28 ounces tomatoes, undrained
  • 12 Greek olives, pitted & chopped (use a good quality of olive)
  • 2 -4 tablespoons capers, drained and chopped
  • 12 teaspoon red pepper flakes

Directions

  1. heat olive oil in a large sauce pan and add garlic. Cook for 2 - 3 minutes or until cooked.
  2. Add tomatoes and liquid and cook for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 5 minutes or until heated thoroughly.
