Great tangy flavor.
- 1 can dark red sweet cherries, drained
- 1 can pineapple chunk, drained
- 1⁄2 container Cool Whip
- 1⁄2 bag miniature marshmallow
- Mix together and chill before serving.
This was great! I used a can of cherry pie filling, since that's what I had on hand. It was even better the next day because the flavors mixed together and the marshmallows softened up. This is a quick and easy recipe that tastes great.
I've made this recipe several times over the years for picnics and pot lucks. Its always been well recieved (except for the occasional person who can't accept a purple fruit salad). I've been asked for the recipe often, and there usually aren't any leftovers to bring back home. This recipe defaults to a serving of 6, I suggest doubling that for a small gathering, and even quadrupling it for a large family reunion.
