It's like pumpkin pie for breakfast! It's the taste of fall!
- 2 slices bread (I prefer whole wheat!)
- 1 tablespoon peanut butter
- 1 1⁄2 tablespoons canned pumpkin
- pumpkin pie spice
- 1 tablespoon honey
- toast the bread.
- in a small bowl, mix together the peanutbutter and pumpkin.
- spread mixture on toast.
- sprinkle with pumpkin pie pice.
- top with honey.
Very tasty. I found that it tastes pretty much the same whether you mix everything together or pile everyone on top like in the recipe.
This was a totally new combination for me - would have never thought to combine p.b. with pumpkin but it was very tasty! I didn't have any pie spice so mixed little dashes of cinnamon, cloves, and allspice into the p.b. mixture. The first slice of toast I got too much honey and that was almost all I could taste. The second slice was much better - I'd suggest the recipe should say 1 tsp _not_ 1 Tbsp of honey (1/2 tsp per slice). Thanks for the recipe!
Now that I've wiped the preparation drool away - I'm enjoying this MORE than I can say. It's delicious AND healthy. YIPPEE
