  1. This smoothie has a different and unique taste that I'm really unsure about. I guess I should say unique in a good way but definitely different. I should start out by saying I did a few substitutions which would alter the taste of this drink somewhat and so in all fairness have reviewed accordingly I didn't have apricot nectar and so used Tropicana tropical tangerine. I cut this recipe in 1/2 for one and so used 3/4 cup pumpkin and 1/2 cup frozen raspberries. It wasn't quite sweet enough for DS and so I added one packet of splenda and because the pumpkin didn't come thru strong enough...a dash of pumpkin pie spice. Also 4 icecubes as the only coldness to the smoothie was from the frozen raspberries. I would suggest using a frozen banana to up the cold factor. This does make a nice thick smoothie and actually very filling. This would be great for an after work-out drink because of the added protein powder. I'm glad I tagged for Holidaytag Syd!~
