I used this recipe as a base to go off of. I doubled the recipe and got 12 slices of Texas toast out of it. I also substituted pumpkin pie spice for all of the other spices (I was in a hurry). And then I baked them on a cookie sheet. My family loved it and I plan to make again. Thanks for posting!

  1. Mix the eggs, milk, pumpkin puree, vanilla, cinnamon, ginger, cloves, nutmeg and brown sugar in low flat bowl for easy dipping.
  2. Dip the bread into the egg mixture on both sides and grill in a pan until lightly golden brown, about 2-3 minute per side.
  3. Serve with maple syrup.
