Grandma's recipe found in a box. Lighter on spice than a lot of the others I'd found.

Followed your recipe right on down & was very happy with the resulting pie, which was part of my donaton to a park-wide pie-tasting event where we have our mobile home! I featured your pie as Grandma's Pumpkin Pie & even provided copies of your recipe for those who were interested (15 copies disappeared before the event was over)! A very nice, comforting & satisfying pie, I thought! [Made & reviewed for one of my adoptees in this fall's round of Pick A Chef]

  1. Combine sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg,cloves and salt.
  2. In a seperate bowl lightly beat the eggs
  3. stir in the pumpkin and the sugar/spice mixture mixing well.
  4. gradually add the evaporated milk.
  5. pour into pie shell and bake at 350 for 40 to 50 minutes.
