Your pancake recipe is very tasty. The pancakes were moderately light in texture and had a delicious spiced flavor. The syrup really makes this a heavenly tasting dish. I am going to make these again for our Thanksgiving breakfast. Very greatful you posted this. Thank-you.

Ooooooooooooo, I have been waiting for a perfect cold Fall morning to make these, and today was the day! They are so delicious! My family went nuts and said this is one of their favorite breakfasts now!! I thank you so much for posting this! Only thing I did different was to double the recipe for both pancakes and cider syrup and it's a good thing I did! (I know my family well! lol) Thanks, Nurse Di!! May use a dollop of whip cream on top next time, but awesome without as well!! You have to try this recipe people!! :-)

DS and I loved these. I made lots of extras to put in freezer for his breakfast on school days. He even likes them w/o butter and syrup. DH doesn't like pumpkin in anything except pie so it was more for DS and me!!! Didn't change a thing in the pancakes, but we used maple syrup.

Totally scrumptious. I made these pancakes for my family on Thanksgiving morning. It seemed appropriate. These were delicious, light and fluffy. The apple cider syrup was the perfect accompaniment. Thanks Nurse di.

I made these pancakes while my parents were visiting. We thought they tasted delicious and made a beautiful fall country breakfast. The texture was not too heavy and the spiced flavor was very nice. My dad and husband liked theirs with maple syrup but mom and I liked ours better with the cider syrup. A very classy and scrumptious pancake. Thanks Nurse Di.

This recipe gets a big OOOOOOOH my gawd from me and my husband. Beautiful pumpkin spice pancakes and the syrup just really sent us over the edge. I made these for dinner because we are not morning people. We were so happy and full. Thanks Nurse Di.

Oh wow...are these pancakes delicious!! The combination of the cider syrup with the pumpkin in the pancakes really makes these special. In fact, I think that it is the syrup that really puts this recipe over the top. I made these as part of our New Years breakfast and my family quickly devoured them. Next time, and there definitely will be a next time, I will double the recipe. Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe...it is definitely a keeper!! *Made for Comfort Cafe tag game*

I was pretty opposed to whipping egg whites for a pancake recipe, but I decided to try these for a treat this morning. They are fantastic!!! I've made pumpkin pancakes that taste good like these, but I've never gotten this amazing texture before. They are totally worth the little bit of extra work. I used cinnamon and pumpkin pie spice for the spices, and half whole wheat flour. My husband ate them with butter and maple syrup, but my children and I liked them so much that we ate them plain! Thanks for a great recipe! I will be making these for company this fall.

Excellent pancake recipe! Just enough pumpkin flavour without being overpowering. My three kids ate the whole batch and asked for more!!

Nice recipe. As other posters mentioned, the pumpkin flavor was a little more subtle than we would've liked. I would definitely make these again, with slightly more pumpkin puree and a splash of vanilla for additional flavor. Thank you.

I only made the pancakes and I thought they were very good. My kids loved them, too--even the one that was complaining as I made them. He ate 6! I made as posted except used whole wheat flour and added a splash of vanilla. This is a very easy, tasty recipe!

This review is for the pancakes only:
The pancakes are really eggy tasting in my opinion. The pumpkin flavor was too faint to even notice. Perhaps a few spices would be better, as another reviewer suggested. I wouldn't really make these again, unless I really needed to use up some pureed pumpkin. Not bad for a base recipe I suppose. I can imagine a sweet syrup might compliment them well, but if you're not into syrup (like my family) these pancakes just won't satisfy the sweet pumpkin craving you might have. :/

These were delicious!!! I did make a few changes however. I used all Whole wheat flour instead of white, only one TBSP of butter instead of 2 in the syrup, replaced 1 egg with Flax Seed egg subtitute (1 Tbsp ground flax seed and 3 TBSP water), and used Truvia in place of the sugar. I also forgot to separate the egg and whip the egg whites, I just mixed it all in together, it didn't seem to hurt the pancakes at all. My family LOVED them!! Great for a rainy Fall morning! Besides.....anything with pumpkin....I'm all for!!! Mmmmm! Thanks!

Really good texture but it does need a few more spices for me. I did add a pinch of Ginger and a half teaspoon of nutmeg this time. That didn't seem to be enough so I will up it next time. Great base recipe.

WOW! I made these for a little breakfast-for-dinner for me and the hubby. Even without the syrup they were AMAZING!!! We just used a light store bought syrup. Also, I substituted brown sugar for the white sugar.
