I gave this recipe 2 stars. I made this for my breakfast. I made this as directed. There just wasn't a sweet taste and that's how I like my oatmeal. I added 2 tbl Splenda to sweeten the oatmeal. I also wasn't crazy over the fact that the raisins didn't plump. Overall this was ok. Thanks Christine (internetnut)

Mmm pumpkin pie, oatmeal style! I made this in the microwave rather than the stove. You cook the oats and milk for 3 minutes. Then stir in everything else. I felt that there was too much milk, so maybe cut back by 1/4 cup.

Yum! With a tweak or two, this was a very good breakfast! I added 1/2 t kosher salt with the oats, and a pinch of ginger and nutmeg along with a tiny pinch of cloves with the pumpkin. I also added about 1/4 c brown sugar at the very end. The pumpkin flavor is subtle, not overpowering. Yum!
