    I love this because it uses a simple cake mix and some pumpkin. I added chocolate chips to the mix, and I also used a pumpkin pie mix instead of pumpkin. You could make Chocolate Pumpkin Muffins by using a Devil's Food Cake mix and a little milk or even throw in some nuts or peanut butter to mix it up. Recipe courtesy of Sweet Verbena Blogspot.     • 18 1/4 ounces yellow cake mix
    • 15 ounces pumpkin

    For Chocolate Pumpkin Muffins

    • 18 1/4 ounces devil's food cake mix
    • 15 ounces pumpkin
    • 1/4 cup milk

    Other additions

      Combine the cake mix and pumpkin (you do not need eggs or oil or anything else) until well blended.

      Bake at 350 for 20 to 25 minutes.

      Made devils food cake mix with pumpkin and it needed more chocolate since the pumpkin seemed overpowering. Added chocolate chips and it was much better! Also, read that without the eggs it was less fluffy, so added 3 eggs-- this made for fluffy, chocolatey texture!
      Would recommend this with just the few adjustments! If you love pumpkin, probably don't need the chocolate chips.
