Thank you so much for posting this recipe so I don't have to dig through my recipes to find it! I've had this recipe for almost 20 years and it's ALWAYS a hit. My recipe calls for cream cheese frosting. We have done that a couple of times, but when we do it's so rich you can't hardly stand it. The way you have it listed is PERFECT!

This is a very yummy dessert, and will be replacing pumpkin pie for our holiday dinners. I used melted butter, but think margarine might be a better way to go, as it was very rich with the butter. I agree with Stephanie's review on the sweet part, and instead of a prepared whipped topping we used tonight (which made it even sweeter of course), I'll do a partially whipped pouring cream - unsweetened for the holidays. We didn't use nuts due to family preference, but it would help even out the sweetness a lot I'm sure. Nice recipe - easy and quick to throw in the oven.

WOW!! This was amazing! I did not have a yellow cake mix, so I used the recipe, http://www.recipezaar.com/Best-Yellow-Cake-EVER-14378 I creamed the butter and sugar together, then added the b. powder, salt, and then flower. Mixing it well, and it was very crumbly. Then, after mixing the ingredients from this recipe, I sprinkled the "cake mix" over the top and baked it. It was a little sweet, but very very good. I did not have to drizzle any butter on top, because the amount of butter in the cake mix. I recommend this to everyone! It's great! Thanks for posting Okie...
