Loved this recipe - but did make with the healthy changes:

Apple sauce in place of oil
1/2 cup suger
1 cup chocolate chips

The muffins are plenty sweet, and you can really notice the chocolate bits when
the rest of the breads sweetness is played down.

Next batch I will experiment with the spices, and play up different flavors.

Thanks!!
Really good, but next time I would add some more cinnamon and nutmeg
Great recipe. I added 2 teaspoons of pumpkin pie spice because we like it spicy. They are great with a little maple butter on top. Thanks!!
Words cannot describe how delicious these muffins are! Definitely a family favorite - I have made them so many times I lost count. I follow the recipe exactly, except for this last time I made them I also added in 1/2 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice in addition to the 2 teaspoons of cinnamon - WOW! No going back now. Love love love this recipe.
Really good recipe, and easy to make. I substituted some apple sauce for oil and some brown sugar as well. Next time I will try other modifications. Thanks.
These are really good. I used the mini chips and they spread throughout the muffins nicely. Thank you for sharing.
I really enjoyed this recipe! I had a craving that this recipe successfully fulfilled. My only substitutions and changes were: 1.5 cups of regular apple sauce, 1/2 cup of sugar and 1/4 agave nectar, splash of ginger, and I baked for 14 minutes rather then the suggested 16 because they were already set and I didn't want them to dry out. Thanks for sharing!
Love these muffins! I went exactly by the recipe and they turned out wonderfully. Next I will be making the lite muffins you have posted. Thank you!!
I shared these with lots of my friends. They all loved them.
Moist muffins. Used 1 cup applesauce instead of the cup of oil. Would make again.
